The Floyd County Investigations unit works side by side with the patrol division and other law enforcement agencies to investigate unsolved criminal activity. Our detectives review and investigate all types of criminal activities such as narcotics, crimes against children, theft, and death investigations. The division has specialists in specialty areas such as crime scene forensics, fingerprinting, and technology forensics. Other responsibilities include evidence management, case review, assisting other agencies investigations, and crime intelligence gathering. Our detectives work diligently to clear and solve every case that is capable of being closed exhausting all resources available. The investigations division is on-call 24/7 to respond to major crimes.
